IT Senior Technician

Summary
Colorado Network Staffing, Inc. (CNS) is seeking a skilled and experienced IT Senior Technician to lead advanced troubleshooting, project coordination, and technical development within water and wastewater treatment facilities. This position focuses on instrumentation, electrical systems, and industrial control systems (ICS) and includes responsibilities in system design, documentation, calibration, and cybersecurity compliance. The Senior Technician also plays a critical role in mentoring others, leading projects, and coordinating improvements with engineers and contractors.

This position will perform the following key responsibilities:

Perform advanced installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of instrumentation, control systems, switch gear, actuators, sensors, and communication equipment.

Lead and implement changes based on analytical testing and system performance evaluations.

Update schematics and technical documents using AutoCAD and ensure proper documentation of system modifications.

Oversee and coordinate electrical/control system projects with consulting engineers and contractors.

Design and complete minor electrical construction projects and lead project management efforts.

Develop preventive maintenance procedures and long-term electrical calibration/maintenance plans.

Monitor electrical usage and recommend energy-saving methods.

Configure PLCs, DCS, and HMI systems and maintain updates based on operational needs.

Enter and manage records in CMMS, including inventory, work history, and equipment configurations.

Provide training and mentoring for junior technicians and operations staff on proper use, care, and safety.

Assist in preparing labor and material estimates, bid reviews, and contractor oversight.

Respond to IT and/or ICS incidents as needed; support secure industrial network environments per IEC 62443 and the Purdue Model.

Configure and maintain radio communications and support compatibility across network profiles.

Remain responsive to facility needs, identifying and communicating potential failures or improvements.

Perform other related duties as required to support CNS and facility operations.
