Summer Internship – Operations

 

Position Title: Summer Internship: June and July        

Department Name: Operations

Location:  Santa Rosa, Milpitas Richmond, CA

FLSA Status: Non - Exempt         

Classification:  Part Time, Temporary             

 Position Summary:

 The internship lasts for eight weeks during June and July with initial support for field   operations and a shift to office/project work in July.

 

June: on our construction sites, working as laborers and runners to support the Construction Managers, Customer Relations Managers and Sales team to close houses in June.  The intern will experience the best in job site in closings. They will report to the onsite Construction Manager.

July: in our corporate office working on a research project that will support the reduction of construction costs.

 

Position Requirements – Qualifications and Experience

Excellent communication skills; both written and oral

Team-oriented, shows ownership of assigned tasks; works well independently.

Good organizational skills, ability to manage multiple tasks at same time and meet deadlines.

MS Office Suite skills

Ability to research and ask great questions.

 

Compensation: $18 - $20 per hour with some travel allowance.

 

Work Environment

The essential functions of the job are usually performed in an environmentally controlled facility where the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

While performing the duties of Summer Intern, the employee is regularly required to sit; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand and walk. The employee may sometimes be required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus.
