We are seeking a skilled and innovative Webmaster to join our dynamic Marketing & Communications team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing our online presence, enhancing user experience and driving engagement through effective web strategies. The ideal candidate will possess a strong blend of technical expertise and creativity, with a keen understanding of analytics, marketing tools and trends, and audience. You will collaborate with the full Marketing & Communications team and departments across the organization to ensure our website and online presence align with company goals, as well as brand and audience needs. This is a hybrid position, requiring 2-3 days at our home office in Mendota Heights, MN.

Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities

  • Build and optimize web experiences through developing, maintaining and enhancing our web presence to ensure an engaging and seamless user experience.
  • In collaboration with Marketing & Communications colleagues, identify content strategy needs, updates and opportunities for website enhancements using data and analytics to draw traffic and build new digital experiences.
  • Implement non-engineering website updates, including content, design and functionality, ensuring accuracy and quality.
  • Develop and manage landing pages, ensuring they align with visitor experience best practices.
  • Manage performance reporting and analysis to connect web metrics to the marketing funnel, providing actionable insights and reports to elevate brand performance.
  • Leverage web platforms and tools such as WordPress, Google Analytics, Jot forms and more to manage and optimize web content and performance.
  • Ensure adherence to compliance and web best practices, including information architecture and analytics-driven optimization.
  • Manage content creation and ensure that all website content is up-to-date, relevant and optimized for search engines.
  • Administer and maintain web-based local business listings, including Google My Business.
  • Stay up to date on the latest SEO trends and advise team members of changes that may impact the quality of website traffic, using best White Hat SEO practices.
  • Conduct research on industry trends and competitor strategies to identify opportunities for improvement.

  • 3-5 years web management experience.
  • Excellent observation, verbal and written communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multi-task on a daily basis and be flexible to manage priorities.

Skills Required

  • Google analytics certification preferred, or commitment to obtain within 90 days of hire.
  • Proven experience in web management or a similar role, demonstrating expertise in analytics, marketing and audience.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent from a four-year college or technical school preferred.
  • Significant related experience may be substituted if substantial skills can be demonstrated. 3+ years of SEO and internet marketing experience.
  • Strong knowledge of content management systems (CMS) and experience with content creation processes.
  • Advanced knowledge of web development and SEO. Ability to use SEO/SEM tools and communicate external sites: PBN’s, microsites, backlinks, indexing, etc.
  • Excellent copywriting skills with an ability to create engaging content tailored for different audiences.
  • Familiarity with advertising strategies and tools that drive online engagement.
  • Ability to conduct thorough research and apply findings effectively within web strategies.

The starting salary range for this role is $57,000-63,000 annual base salary. This range is a good faith estimate; we may pay more or less than the posted range, and this range may be modified in the future. Actual compensation packages take into account a wide range of factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to geographic location; skill sets; relevant education and certifications; depth of experience; performance; and other business and organizational needs. The total compensation package for this position may also include the opportunity to participate in employee benefits including our medical/dental/vision insurance and 401(k) retirement plans, subject to applicable plan terms, and/or eligibility for other compensation.
