Description

Direct crisis intervention services is be provided to adults, youth, and adolescents in the office and in the community.

 

Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Provides hot line service, crisis intervention (includes short-term crisis-focused therapy), and mobile response services under clinical supervision within the limits of services permitted by license and scope of practice.

  • Performs triage to determine clinical necessity and make appropriate referral decisions.

  • Is available 100% of time scheduled on call for triage, consultation, or mobile response.

  • Serves as a consultant to hotline staff, clinicians, third party callers, and other agency staff in emergency and/or threatening situations.

  • Provides crisis intervention assessments and safety planning under clinical supervision. 

  • Coordinates immediate referrals when needed to local resources; i.e. emergency department, crisis stabilization, withdrawal management, or other agencies.

  • Develops and maintains quality, accurate clinical charts for all clients served.

  • Develops and maintains positive collaboration with emergency assistance providers (i.e., police departments and rescue squads) and other social service agencies serving clients.  Provide consultation if needed

 

 

Work Location and Standard Work Hours:

  • Logan and Champaign County, OH

  • On Call

  • This position is on-call only for after hours and weekends. There is a set rate for on-call pay that is $58.75 for a weekday (Mon-Thur) and $88.33 for weekends (Fri-Sun)

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • None

  • This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers, etc.

Qualifications

Required Education, Certifications, and/or Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in behavioral health field
  • LPC or LSW, CPR/First Aid, De-escalation
  • At least one year in chemical addictions treatment.
