JOB DESCRIPTION
POSITION SUMMARY
This position reports into the Safety Director. The Safety Manager is responsible for assisting the Safety Director with maintaining safety policy, monitoring all health and safety incidents and ensuring the overall safety of the workplace. The Safety Manager works closely with field staff on a daily basis to ensure jobsite safety compliance and training.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Safety Responsibilities
- Ensure consistency with Federal, State and Local compliance with site-specific regulatory requirementsÂ
- Monitor project activities with the review of the construction management team and design procedures, programs and policies affecting construction safety on projects
- Develop and implement safety measures/metrics for tracking and reporting safety performance of the General Contractor and subcontractors
- Assist in the development and acceptance of job hazard analysis and Project Specific Safety Plans (PSSP)
- Engage in site safety inspections, coordinating corrections with all contractors
- Reviews and oversees procedures for the investigation of construction related incidents and accidents
- Develop and implement CDCC’s orientation procedures for a multi-lingual work site.
- Provide general safety oversight and performance of both administrative and field safety management responsibilities
- Advise Safety Director of safety compliance concerns and preventative actions
- Implement, inspect and maintain job site and office SDS manuals. Train employees in SDS procedures.
- Maintain safety records while onsite full time
- Provide field presence and project support with coaching
- Conduct periodic safety inspections on job sites to ensure safety compliance
- Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
