Provides management and leadership to a team of Staff Accountants while ensuring the values and culture of VCM, Inc. are demonstrated at all times. Responsibilities will include working with Accountants, company leadership and Board of Directors to manage and create each community’s vision. This position requires experience in Accounting, Financial and General Ledger Management and the ability to become an expert for both associates and clients. Previous accounting experience and oversight of a team is preferred. A successful candidate must believe in active leadership with a commitment to exceptional customer service and quality control.
Position Responsibilities
- At all times, demonstrate and promote the mission, values and culture of VCM, Inc.
- Provide customer service at all times returning all calls and email messages within 24 business hours
- Directly oversee Staff Accountants
- Audit all Financial Packages for accuracy and ensure delivery to Internal Leadership and clients in accordance with Internal and External deadlines
- Oversee Customer Billing process at end of each month, Audit billing to ensure it is accurate and produced timely, and in accordance with the client contract, and VCM charges
- Enter billing into tracking spreadsheet and provide to Owner
- Oversee EFT processing Monthly, Semi-Annually, Annually
- Oversee Assessment Billings, Monthly, Quarterly, Semi-Annually, Annually
- Provide Weekly Dashboard
- Oversee Annual Client Budget process
- Oversee Annual Client Tax and preparation to ensure timeliness
- Oversee Annual Client Audit preparation to ensure timeliness and post General Ledger Adjusting Journal Entries
- Oversee Year End Close Process
- Oversee Client Property Tax payment process and perform Client Audits to ensure taxes are received for all properties as needed
- Oversee the Onboarding and Offboarding of new communities’ data entry needed
- Develop training and processes, as needed
- Other job duties, as assigned
