Role Summary
The Principal, User Experience (UX) Designer will serve as the visionary and hands-on leader for user experience across RealManage's suite of products, reimagining how residents, board members, back-office staff, and front office associates interact with our digital ecosystem. This strategic role requires a passionate UX expert who can balance design innovation, user research, and business goals to elevate our platform's usability and brand perception.
You will take ownership of the end-to-end UX strategy across personas and product experiences, ensuring consistency, accessibility, and effectiveness. Your work will not only shape how people engage with our technology but also influence the way we position and promote our offerings, in close collaboration with all RealManage business units.

Key Responsibilities:
User Experience Strategy & Leadership
• Lead the development of a cohesive UX vision across the Resident, Board, Back Office, and Front Office product experiences.
• Define and enforce design standards, interaction patterns, and accessibility guidelines that are scalable and persona-aware.
• Serve as the thought leader for UX trends, emerging technologies, and design methodologies to keep our experiences modern and competitive.
• Advocate for the voice of the user, leveraging research and data to inform and influence strategic product decisions.

Design Ownership
• Own the design lifecycle for core workflows and features across the platform, from ideation through delivery.
• Create and refine low- to high-fidelity prototypes, user flows, and interface designs that bring clarity to complex user journeys.
• Partner with Engineering and Product peers to ensure designs are feasible and implemented with high quality.

Research & Insights
• Develop and manage a UX research program that collects qualitative and quantitative insights from users across all core personas.
• Conduct usability testing, stakeholder interviews, field studies, and competitor analysis to inform UX direction.
• Use research findings to uncover unmet needs, reduce friction points, and uncover innovation opportunities.

Brand & Content Collaboration
• Work closely with Marketing, Advertising, and Content teams to ensure brand consistency across digital touchpoints.
• Influence and co-develop visual and content strategies that align with UX principles and support business goals.
• Contribute to the evolution of RealManage’s visual language and brand identity within the digital product suite.

Cross-Functional Partnership
• Act as a bridge between Product Management, Engineering, Support, and Executive teams to align UX with business priorities and product roadmaps.
• Champion a culture of experimentation, rapid feedback loops, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Qualifications:
Required

• 8+ years of UX design experience, including 3+ years in a lead or principal capacity
• Proven experience designing for multiple user personas across complex enterprise or consumer-facing applications
• Strong portfolio demonstrating strategic thinking, system design, and elegant user-centered solutions
• Expertise in Figma or similar design tools; experience with user research platforms (e.g., Maze, Lookback, UserTesting)
• Strong storytelling skills with the ability to present ideas and influence stakeholders at all levels

Preferred
• Experience in property management, HOA software, fintech, or service-based platforms
• Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG) and responsive design best practices
• Exposure to branding and marketing collaboration models
• Comfort working in agile or dual-track development environments

Pay and Benefits:

$150,000 to $160,000 , depending on education and experience.
