Position Summary:
The Packager plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient and accurate packaging of products. This position encompasses various tasks including material handling, equipment set up and operation, as well as maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of the packaging line equipment. The Packager is also responsible for conducting regular quality checks and inspections to ensure product integrity. This includes conducting tests and inspections to meet the company's quality standards. The ideal candidate for this role must possess a strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Essential Functions and Basic Duties:
- Work on a packaging line that bottles manufactured product, then cottons, caps, labels, seals, and bands the bottles.
- Review bottles for accuracy and box bottles.
- Verify proper counts, labels, and lot numbers for packaged product.
- Verify labels are properly positioned with no wrinkles.
- Work with Quality Assurance Department to verify all proper procedures have been followed.
- Request materials for the packaging area as needed.
- Complete batch and other paperwork as needed.
- Create shipping labels as needed.
- Perform all duties according to written Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and in compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP’s).
- Keep a clean and neat work area.
- Remove trash and sweep or clean as needed.
- Follow cleaning SOP’s.
- Other related duties as required.
