REQUIRED LICENSE & TRAINING
- Training, licensure, and supervision are necessary for the T4C curriculum specifications per the Department of Corrections.
- Staff qualifications for Program Site Managers, Program Facilitators and Lead Facilitators.
- Have a minimum of an Associate’s degree or greater in a Human Service/Criminal Justice field.
- Certified training in group facilitation techniques.
- Certified training in T4C curriculum (must possess the proper certification for the locations services will be provided).
- Attend DOC training in the approved site specific –Cognitive Behavioral Based Program- Thinking for a Change for Domestic Violence Group Services curriculum.
Education & Work Experience
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Criminal Justice, or related field.
- 2 years’ experience in group facilitation of cognitive based programing of correctional clients.
- 2 years’ experience working with correctional clients from diverse backgrounds.
- Experience working in a correctional residential or treatment center.
- Valid driver’s license and a good driving record, ability to use personal vehicle for daily travel (mileage reimbursement included.)
- Training in Thinking for a Change curriculum or other Cognitive Interventions Programming preferred
- Knowledge of “Thinking for a Change” curriculum and group dynamics.
- Computer proficient in Microsoft Office, email, and internet.
- Interact with employees, clients and agents in an effective manner while maintaining professional boundaries.
- Ability to maintain the utmost confidentiality of all agency information.
