At Meridian Cooperative, we are dedicated to providing innovative software solutions to utility providers across the country. We are seeking an Implementation Specialist III to join our team. This role will play a key part in ensuring successful implementations of our proprietary software by leading members through the full life cycle—from discovery and configuration to deployment, training, and post-go-live support.
The Senior Implementation Specialist works closely with our members and internal teams to ensure smooth, timely, and effective implementation of Meridian’s utility software solutions. This role requires a high degree of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and customer focus, along with the ability to mentor junior team members and contribute to process improvements.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead customers through the implementation life cycle including discovery, configuration, testing, training, deployment, and hand-off to support.
- Configure and deploy proprietary software applications tailored to customer workflows and requirements.
- Develop and deliver customized training—both remote and on-site—for customers in individual and group settings.
- Collaborate with customers to identify current workflows, configure solutions, and recommend process improvements.
- Troubleshoot, research, and resolve technical issues during the implementation process.
- Mentor junior Implementation Specialists and provide guidance on complex implementations.
- Serve as a liaison between customers, Product Support, and internal teams to ensure smooth transitions and long-term success.
- Participate in system testing, beta testing, and feedback loops with development and quality control teams to identify improvements and address issues.
- Document implementation processes, configurations, and troubleshooting steps for customers and internal stakeholders.
- Represent Meridian Cooperative at industry conferences and networking events.
- Travel up to 50% to customer sites (including occasional weekends).

What You’ll Bring:
Experience:
- At least 6 years of experience in a similar implementation, software deployment, or technical consulting role
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent experience in related field required
Skills & Competencies:
- Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, JIRA, and Confluence
- Strong knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet established timelines
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for both technical and non-technical audiences
- Highly detail-oriented, proactive, and customer-focused
- Strong team collaboration skills with the ability to mentor others
- Flexibility to adapt quickly to change in a fast-paced environment
