Description

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Certified Medication Technicians to join our team in providing exceptional care to our residents. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in senior care and be committed to enhancing the quality of life for individuals in assisted living environments. As a Certified Medication Technician, you will play a crucial role in administering medications and supporting the overall health and well-being of our residents.

Shifts Available:

7am - 1pm

7am - 3pm

3pm - 11pm

4pm - 9pm

*Full-time, part-time and per diem positions available

**Every other weekend is a requirement of all positions

Duties:

  • Administer prescribed medications to residents in accordance with established protocols and regulations.
  • Monitor residents for any side effects or adverse reactions to medications, reporting changes in condition to nursing staff.
  • Maintain accurate medical documentation and records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Assist with vital signs monitoring and report any significant changes to the nursing team.
  • Provide support and care for residents with dementia or other cognitive impairments, fostering a safe and nurturing environment.

Qualifications

 

  • Valid certification as a Medication Technician in the State of Rhode Island.
  • Experience in senior care settings, such as assisted living facilities or nursing home, is preferred.
  • Knowledge of physiology, vital signs assessment, and medical documentation practices.
  • Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact compassionately with residents and their families.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also demonstrating initiative in individual responsibilities.
  • Previous experience in dementia care is a plus.
