Primary Care Physician Adults & Pediatrics

Mercy Community Healthcare has an opening for a full-time MD/DO board certified or eligible to be board certified in family medicine in the state of Tennessee. We are looking for enthusiastic people with a passion for making a difference in the lives of those we serve in our community.

Job Summary: Primary Care - Adults and/or Pediatrics

Reports to CMO

Job Titles Supervised: NP, PA, Students

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Obtain health histories and perform comprehensive physical examinations, including psychosocial, functional and development assessment for children and adults.

Order and interpret lab results and other diagnostic studies

Develop differential diagnoses

Develop/order therapeutic plan of care

Maintain patient records in accordance with MCH policies

Prescribe medications, including controlled substances

Perform clinic-based procedures within the scope of Primary Care

Evaluate patient's response to plan of care and modify as needed

Provide patient/family counseling and education

Arrange for patient referrals/consultations

Provide on-call responsibilities as established by MCH

Supervise Nurse Practitioners, Physicians Assistants, medical, APN and PA students

Other duties as required

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

Education: MD or DO from appropriately accredited institution.

Experience: Unrestricted Medical License in the State of Tennessee
