Job Summary:Â Â Â
KIPP Atlanta Schools seeks an experienced Clinic Aide who will be responsible for providing health services support to a single school. Reporting to the Director of Health and Safety, the Clinic Aide will serve the health needs of our students and staff, provide health-related tasks, including first aid and medication administration as needed, maintain student health records, and help ensure that the school complies with any state or district health-related requirements.

- Provides basic first aid and care for minor injuries and illness and chronic health conditions according to a detailed protocol established by the Regional School Nurse (RSN) or the Child’s ;Â
- Takes vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration rate, pulse ox, and blood pressure);Â
- Communicates findings to supervising RSN for direction;Â
- Contacts parents of students who need to be picked up from school according to established school health services protocols or as directed by the RSN;Â
- Contacts EMS according to established school health services protocols or as directed by the RSN;Â
- Maintains records (sorting, filing, reviewing for completeness);Â
- Assists with screening programs;Â
- Sends routine notices to parents; andÂ
- Orders and maintain health office supplies;Â
- Serve as a Trained Diabetes Personnel after receiving appropriate training.Â
- Coordinated COVID-19 response for the school
- Other duties as delegated by the Regional School Nurse in accordance with the Georgia Nurse Practice Act (Board of Registered Nurses)

- Helps ensure school compliance with federal, state and local school district guidelines and requirementsÂ
- Ensures timeliness, accuracy and thoroughness of medical documentation including monitoring of immunizationsÂ
Â
- Provides pediatric TeleHealth consultation triage with use of technology (i.e. mobile device, peripheral devices, and telephone). Obtains vital signs and chief complaint for RN consultation.
- Provides guidance and support during the TeleHealth encounter to ensure a positive patient experience.
- Responsible for equipment functioning. Notifies RN supervisor of any equipment malfunctions.
