Job Summary
Safe Hands Home Health Care & Hospice is seeking an experienced and compassionate Director of Nursing (DON) – Hospice to lead our hospice clinical operations. Key Responsibilities

Oversee daily hospice clinical operations to ensure the highest standards of care delivery.

Lead, mentor, and support a multidisciplinary team of RNs, LPNs, social workers, aides, and volunteers.

Ensure compliance with state, federal, and hospice regulations, including CMS and accrediting body requirements.

Develop, implement, and monitor quality improvement initiatives.

Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to develop and manage individualized patient care plans.

Manage clinical documentation accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.

Participate in budgeting, resource management, and strategic planning to maintain efficient operations.

Serve as a patient and family advocate, ensuring dignity, respect, and compassionate communication.

Support outreach and community engagement efforts to expand awareness of Safe Hands Hospice services.
