Summary

We are seeking an energetic, driven Production Manager to oversee multiple production lines across the night shift. This role is critical in ensuring operational excellence and continuous improvement in a dynamic food manufacturing environment. The manager will provide shift-wide leadership, driving results in safety, quality, delivery, cost, and employee engagement. Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Team Development

  • Provide overall leadership across multiple production lines during night operations.
  • Coach, mentor, and train production line supervision, leads, and employees.
  • Foster a collaborative, team-oriented work environment across all functions.
  • Actively engage employees through training, development, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Operations Management

  • Ensure adherence to safety programs, work procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Partner with Quality and Sanitation teams to ensure food safety practices are a top priority.
  • Manage resources (people, equipment, and materials) to meet established standards.
  • Drive production scheduling and resource planning to optimize output.
  • Monitor and manage work-in-process inventory through employee practices and ERP systems.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Manufacturing/Operations to drive LEAN initiatives, efficiencies, and cost improvements.
  • Lead cost management initiatives using KPI/OEE monitoring systems.
  • Support and implement capital project initiatives.

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify, develop, and execute continuous improvement action plans.
  • Champion efficiency improvements and process enhancements across all production lines.
  • Support cross-functional collaboration to resolve issues and drive problem-solving.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field; or equivalent experience.
  • 5–10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • 3–5 years of supervisory or management experience.
  • Experience in BRC or SQF-regulated environments preferred.
  • Green Belt or Black Belt certification preferred.
  • Ability to work nights and weekends as needed

  • Financial and business acumen with a track record of cost management.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing standards, processes, and LEAN methodologies.
  • ERP and OEE system knowledge preferred.
  • Effective interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional organizational and prioritization abilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint.
