We’re looking for an energetic Junior Buyer to join our team in Poulsbo, WA. This role is central to keeping operations running smoothly by managing purchase orders, monitoring inventory levels in Frontier, and ensuring accuracy through cycle counting. What You’ll Do 

• Perform daily buying activities in alignment with the Watson ISO 9001 Management System. 

• Operate our ERP/MRP system (Frontier) to issue accurate purchase orders, maintain supplier/item records, and ensure material availability. 

• Monitor demand and stock levels; proactively maintain adequate inventory and recommend adjustments to the Sourcing Manager. 

• Conduct regular warehouse cycle counts and resolve inventory discrepancies to keep data accurate. 

• Maintain clear and timely communication with internal teams and suppliers regarding orders, expedites, shortages, and quality issues. 

• Collaborate with the Sourcing Manager on supplier performance, cost improvements, and process efficiencies. 

• Support new product launches by coordinating material requirements. 

• Research and resolve issues related to receiving, invoicing, and order fulfillment. 

• Ensure inventory control procedures support production requirements. 

What You’ll Bring 

• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s Degree in Business preferred. 

• 1–3 years of experience in buying, procurement, or materials planning (manufacturing experience preferred). 

• Strong knowledge of purchasing systems, procedures, and MRP/ERP platforms (Frontier experience preferred). 

• Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and technical requirements. 

• Advanced computer skills and proficiency with business software. 

• Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels. 

• Clear communication skills and proven accuracy in managing purchase orders and inventory data.

Wage and Compensation 

This role can expect to earn $29-$36 per hour plus overtime

Our Benefits 

INSURANCE | All employees and their dependents will have the ability to enroll in medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans. If enrolled, benefits begin on the first day of the month following the 60th day of employment at Watson. 

RETIREMENT | Watson will match 50% of employees’ 401k contributions, up to 2.5% of base annual salary. All employees over the age of 18 will be automatically enrolled on the first day of the month following 60 days of employment. You can opt out, decrease, or increase contribution at any time. 

PAID TIME OFF | Hourly employees will earn roughly 80 hours of paid time off during their first year at Watson, 120 hours of paid time off during years 2-5, and 160 hours of paid time off each year after being employed for 6 years. Salaried employees can enjoy no cap on their PTO. However, reasonable time off in your first year is considered to be a couple of weeks.  

SICK TIME | Watson employees earn 1 hour of sick leave for every 40 hours worked.  

PAID HOLIDAYS | Watson is closed for 8 holidays every year and offers every employee an additional paid holiday to choose upon employment. 

PROFIT SHARING | Profit Sharing is how we reward the effort and commitment of our employees. Generally, 25% of profits are allocated to the Profit Sharing Plan after the baseline profit level is met. The overall profit sharing amount varies from year to year.
