Summary of Purpose: Under general administrative direction, plans, organizes, directs, and administers the Information Technology (IT) and Risk Management programs and services of the Organization; develops goals, policies, and procedures for IT and risk management related issues; is responsible for cyber training, workers’ compensation, and risk management activities; performs related work as required. Upholds IVHS' mission and contributes to building a culture of philanthropy. Works as a team member with other departmental leadership.
Essential Functions - Include but are not limited to:
Information Technology
Responsible for maintaining the organization’s computer systems and networks to ensure optimal performance, security, and user support. This role involves installing, configuring, and troubleshooting hardware and software, providing technical assistance to staff, and supporting IT infrastructure and data management processes.
- Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, applications, and IT equipment.
- Provide technical support for hardware, software, and network issues.
- Monitor and maintain network infrastructure, including servers, routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and email systems.
- Ensure data security, backup, and recovery procedures are properly implemented.
- Maintain IT asset inventory and documentation.
- Assist with the implementation of IT projects and system upgrades.
- Train end-users on new technologies and IT policies.
- Collaborate with vendors and service providers to resolve issues.
Risk Management
Oversee the organization’s programs related to workplace injuries, employee safety, and liability claims. This role ensures compliance with state and federal regulations, manages claims efficiently, analyzes loss trends, and implements strategies to minimize the organization’s exposure to risk and financial loss.
- Manage and oversee all workers’ compensation claims from initial report through closure.
- Serve as the liaison between employees, management, insurance carriers, third-party administrators (TPAs), and medical providers.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA reporting and recordkeeping requirements.
- Coordinate return-to-work and modified-duty.
- Oversee the administration of general liability, property, and auto claims.
- Conduct investigations into accidents, incidents, and third-party claims.
- Work with insurance adjusters, legal counsel, and internal departments to resolve claims efficiently.
- Develop and maintain documentation, reports, and claim files.
- Develop safety programs, training initiatives, and policies.
