About your role:
The Project Controls Specialist plays a key role in ensuring successful project execution by managing earned value, cost performance, and schedule performance. This position collaborates with project teams and stakeholders to create detailed project status reports, oversee quality assurance and control of documentation, and support construction activities through effective coordination and communication. The Project Controls Specialist also maintains project schedules and project documents, ensuring alignment with project timelines and objectives.
Essential Duties and Major Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with project teams and external stakeholders to collect and analyze data necessary for generating comprehensive weekly project reports.
- Monitor project performance via weekly time charged to projects, Cost Performance Index, Schedule Performance Index and other Key Performance Indicators.
- Oversee earned value management processes to project final project financials and ensure the projects remain on budget and schedule.
- Assists the project management team with creating and updating comprehensive project schedules.
- Coordinates with project teams to report completion status of project tasks.
- Supports construction activities by managing submittals, routing requests for information (RFIs), tracking earned value and quantities, and serving as a conduit between field teams and office-based project management.
- Coordinates and facilitates project meetings, documenting and distributing detailed meeting minutes to both internal and external stakeholders to ensure clear communication and follow-through on action items.
- Assist with other duties as assigned.
