About your role:
This is a professional position for a Relief Systems Engineer – E3 working for an engineering consulting firm in the oil and gas, mining, and heavy industrial industries.
Essential Duties and Major Responsibilities:
- Project and Client Management
- Complete overpressure protection sizing and analyzing tasks
- Conduct QA/QC efforts on deliverables
- Participate in regular meetings with client
- Participate in site visits for data gathering
- Other Responsibilities
- Conduct relief device sizing calculations
- Conduct flare and relief header hydraulic modeling (Aspen Flarenet, VMG Flare)
- Generate process simulation for emergency relieving conditions (HYSYS, Promax, Symmetry, UniSim)
- Update Process Flow Diagram (PFD) for protected systems
- Update Piping & Instrumentation Diagram (P&ID) for protected systems
- Conduct peer checks and reviews
Interface with mechanical engineering for relief device stress analysis
