Position Summary:

The Custodian/Facilities Technician maintains a clean, safe, and organized environment across assigned buildings. Responsibilities include routine cleaning, trash and recycling removal, and periodic tasks such as floor care, minor repairs, snow removal, and event setup. The role operates cleaning equipment, maintains supply inventory, keeps common areas and storage spaces orderly, and follows all safety and regulatory standards. By completing assigned duties and staying up to date on procedures, the technician supports the overall operation and mission of the organization.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Routine cleaning of assigned buildings which may include but are not limited to offices, warehouse, food service areas, meeting rooms and restrooms.  

• Vacuuming, dusting, washing, and disinfecting surfaces, collecting, and hauling trash and recyclable removal. 

• periodic duties include carpet and hard floor project work, bulb replacement, setting up areas for events, snow removal. 

• Occasional room set up and tear downs of table and chairs in preparation for events and meetings.  

• Operate floor scrubber, buffer, waxer and carpet cleaner, and other cleaning equipment.  

• Responsible for overall upkeep of the facility, ensuring that the common areas are kept clean, organized, and tidy including supply rooms and storage areas. 

• Maintaining inventory of cleaning supplies. 

• Complete general tasks in and around the building such as painting, minor maintenance repairs, snow removal, and other simple facility repairs as needed and directed.  

• Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations. 

• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading technical publications. 

• Accomplishes organization mission by completing related tasks and other duties as assigned. 

Physical requirements:

• Prolonged periods working on feet, using tools, and performing repetitive actions that entail frequent bending and stooping. 

• Lift 25 – 50 pounds regularly.  

• Exposure to cleaning solutions.  

Compensation:
Caerus Corp provides the following information about compensation for this position:

• Hourly Range: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour.

The pay range is based on several factors which will vary based on position.  These include labor markets and, in some instances, may include but not limited to education, work experience, scope and responsibilities of position and geographic location.
