Qualifications
- High school diploma and completion of a civilian or military basic electronics program.
- 3–5 years as a flight simulator maintenance technician, with hands-on experience in checking, repairing, and calibrating solid-state devices.
- May require IAT Level I and/or a DoD-approved cybersecurity certification (e.g. Security +).
- Knowledge of networks and advanced skills in troubleshooting and repairing electronic systems.
- Proficient with test equipment (oscilloscopes, frequency counters, volt/ohm meters) and diagnostic programs for fault isolation.
- Experienced in preventive maintenance, system readiness tests, and interpreting complex schematics.
- Skilled in repairing micro/miniature circuit boards, control loading, and sound systems.
- Strong customer service, communication skills; proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Willing to work overtime and any shift as required to support the team.
- Must be eligible and obtain a DOD CAC card.
Language Skills
Able to read and interpret complex technical documents and standards; write reports, manuals, and correspondence; and deliver clear presentations and responses to technical and client inquiries.
Mathematical Skills
Must be able to calculate figures, percentages, interpret graphs; and understand mathematical equations and algorithms used in simulation modeling and design.
Physical Demands
Must lift/move 50+ lbs, climb, bend, or crawl around and in some cases on top of training devices, detect odors/sounds, and distinguish colors. Travel may be required. Accommodations available for disabilities.
