ACCOUNTANT

The Accountant will have a basic understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and other financial terms. Under the supervision of our staff, they can expect to participate in the preparation of journal entries, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial analysis.  The Accountant will report to the Controller.

 

 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES OF THE POSITION

 

  • Support all functions (JE’s, AR, AP, etc.) of the Finance/Accounting department as needed.
  • Assist with research, filing, data entry, and recording and maintaining accurate and complete financial records.
  • Prepare financial reports, invoices, and other documents.
  • Work with bookkeeping software.
  • Handle sensitive or confidential information with honesty and integrity.
  • Learn how to work as part of the accounting team to compile and analyze data, track information, and support the company.
  • Take on additional tasks or projects to learn more about finance and accounting and office operations.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field or equivalent work experience.  Must possess a high degree of organizational skill and problem-solving ability and have the desire to learn and grow professionally.   Proficient in Excel, Microsoft Word, and Power Point.  Ability to prioritize/execute to achieve desired company and project goals with prudence and sense of urgency.
