Position Purpose
The Campus Monitor works under the supervision of the Director of Campus Culture and is responsible for monitoring the school building to ensure a safe and secure environment, as well as the personal safety of students, staff, and visitors.

 

Job Duties

  • Upholds CECs beliefs found on the CEC website.
  • Provides for the safety and security of students, staff, visitors, and CEC property in accordance with CEC policies. Conducts ongoing security patrols of the building and parking and monitors security cameras.
  • Enforces CEC student discipline policies by encouraging appropriate student conduct with regard to school rules and regulations.
  • Assists visitors to the school ensuring they have been processed through the Raptor system and maintains the visitor log.
  • Monitors entrances/exits to prevent unauthorized exit of the building by students and entry of unauthorized persons into the school building.
  • Checks student IDs when classes are in session; escorts students to and from the Director of Campus Culture office as directed.
  • Reports concerns and incidents which may require corrective action to Director of Campus Culture.
  • Assists school administrators with investigations as assigned.
  • Attends related meetings as requested by the Director of Campus Culture.
  • Participates in professional development as requested by the Director of Campus Culture.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required.
  • Experience in security or law enforcement preferred.
  • Experience working with adolescents preferred.
