Manages the delivery and development of various program areas(s), such as health/wellness, aquatics, teens, childcare, and/or other programs. Recruits, trains and supports assigned staff and volunteers. Additional responsibilities include hiring, onboarding and training of staff and volunteers; curriculum development; providing budget input; and adhering to all regulatory and Association standards. This is an entry-level management position that considers the size, scope and budget of the program area and/or branch in classification.
This position reports to the Director of Racquet Sports and is responsible for the day-to-day support of the tennis center operations. This position requires both on-court and off-court tennis operation experience in a large-scale, high-volume facility environment. You must be fluent in the use of ActiveNet our YMCA facility and member management software. Daily duties will require but not be limited to on-court teaching of members ages 4 and up in group and individual lessons, answering phones, booking courts, billing members and managing USTA/UTR Events. You must have at least 6 years of independent tennis instruction experience being capable of instructing at the individual and group levels for beginner to tournament level players.

What You’ll Do
- Executes strategies to ensure that members and/or program participants connect with one another and connect with the YMCA.
- Provides input towards the development of program and/or branch budgets as requested by management.
- Help manage the day-to-day operation of a 21+ court tennis/pickleball facility.
- Teach and coach tennis at various levels.
- Manage schedules, book courts, sell and register students clinics and lessons using our YMCA ActiveNet software
- Organize, promote and facilitate UTR, USTA tournaments and various racquet sporting events.
- Hires, trains, and supervises hourly staff and volunteers in assigned area.
- Manages payroll for program team
- Facilitates communication and provides leadership to assigned part time staff.
- Aids in the branch community campaign as needed.
- Assures compliance with state and local regulations.
- Ensures that program and Association standards are met, and safety procedures are followed.
- Ensures execution of high-quality programs through innovative program delivery.
- Coordinates special events and activities as required for the program.
- Provides data, rosters, schedules, and reports as required for assigned programs.
- Interfaces with and resolves member concerns to further member engagement.
- Establishes and maintain4s collaborations with community organizations
- Ensure compliance with all YGBW policies and standard operating procedures.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
