Role:

It Takes A Village Family of Schools is seeking a dedicated and experienced Teacher Assistant to join our early childhood centers, creating a safe and stimulating environment conducive to learning and exploration. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of our children and contribute to developing curricula and activities that support developmental milestones. 


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

 

  • Provide attentive and nurturing care to infants and toddlers in a safe and stimulating environment.

  • Conduct developmental assessments to identify individual needs and create tailored plans for each child's growth and development.

  • Plan and implement age-appropriate activities and experiences to promote cognitive, physical, social, and emotional development.

  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including maintaining cleanliness, administering first aid when necessary, and monitoring for signs of illness or distress.

Position Type: Full-Time

Salary: $39,141 - $43,403

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent qualification required.

  • Hold a Level 4 Gateway credential or have at least 30 college credits, with 15 of those in Early Childhood Education.

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience as a teaching assistant or similar role.

  • Solid understanding of classroom activities and best practices in teaching.

  • Must have a compassionate and positive attitude.

  • Must be able to demonstrate the skill and competence necessary to contribute to each child’s physical, intellectual, personal, emotional, and social development.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Outstanding interpersonal and presentation abilities.
