As the Grid Inform Product Owner, you will:
- Collaborate closely with the Product Manager, who defines the strategic vision, roadmap, and success metrics for Grid Inform
- Translate the roadmap and strategic priorities into actionable backlogs, epics, features, and user stories
- Drive delivery of new features and enhancements that help utility planners and engineers identify grid risks, model scenarios, and justify investment decisions
- Work closely with our Client Success team, who manage client relationships and funnel use cases and feature requests into the product backlog
- Partner with data scientists, engineers, and designers to plan and release features on a steady, predictable cadence
You will be the day-to-day product lead for the delivery teams, ensuring Grid Inform evolves into a powerful platform for utilities to improve grid performance and resilience.

How you’ll help:
- Own and maintain the Grid Inform product backlog
- Translate roadmap themes and client use cases into detailed user stories and acceptance criteria
- Prioritize features and technical enhancements to balance customer value, technical feasibility, and delivery capacity
- Partner with the Client Success team to gather and synthesize feedback from utility planners, engineers, and reliability program leads
- Collaborate with engineers, data scientists, and UX designers to plan and deliver new features — including real-time grid condition monitoring, scenario modeling, and program planning tools
- Facilitate agile ceremonies (backlog refinement, sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives)
- Validate completed features and coordinate user acceptance testing with Client Success
- Track delivery progress, dependencies, and risks and communicate them to the Product Manager and leadership
- Serve as the primary point of contact for delivery teams, while escalating strategic questions to the Product Manager
What Will Make You Successful
- Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail
- Familiarity with utility operational and planning data (outage history, asset health, AMI, GIS, work management, SCADA, weather)
- Understanding of grid reliability and resiliency planning workflows — risk modeling, program design, cost-benefit analysis, and prioritization
- Comfort working with technical teams to break down complex requirements into clear deliverables
- Collaborative working style with Product Manager, Client Success, and technical teams
- Clear and proactive communication with both technical and business stakeholders
What will make you a great fit:
- 2–5+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or similar role on an agile software team
- Experience delivering data-driven SaaS or analytics products
- Hands-on experience writing user stories, managing backlogs, and working in agile tools (Jira, Azure DevOps, etc.)
- Experience working with or for electric utilities (preferred), especially in grid operations, reliability engineering, or planning
- Technical background (data analytics, engineering, or software development) a plus
- Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills

The budgeted salary for this position is:
- $115,000 – 155,000 USD + annual bonus.
We are open to mid-level or senior-level candidates for this position. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.
