How you’ll help:
Executive advisory and client delivery leadership
- Advise IOUs on AMI strategy, business case development, procurement, deployment, operational readiness, and long-term AMI 2.0 planning.
- Oversee delivery of complex, multiyear AMI programs—ensuring strong governance, risk management, and consistent executive-level communication.
- Lead cross-functional teams spanning AMI network design, MDMS/CIS integration, field deployment, change management, data management, and testing.
- Provide high-impact facilitation of steering committees, regulatory engagements, and executive workshops.
- Guide clients through critical decisions related to architecture, vendor selection, use-case evolution, and operational models (e.g., SMOC).
- Mentor project managers, consultants, and technical specialists across the practice.
Business development and account growth
- Own and grow strategic IOU client accounts; serve as the primary relationship manager for executive-level stakeholders.
- Lead pursuit strategy and competitive proposals for major AMI and grid modernization initiatives.
- Identify and drive expansion opportunities within existing accounts, connecting client needs to our broader AMI/OT capabilities.
- Meet or exceed annual sales, bookings, and revenue growth targets aligned with Senior Director expectations.
- Develop thought leadership and market-relevant offerings that differentiate us in the IOU AMI space.
Practice leadership and market influence
- Help shape the strategic direction of the AMI/OT practice, including methodology development and service offering refinement.
- Represent the organization at industry events such as DistribuTECH, EEI, AGA, and other IOU-focused forums.
- Publish thought leadership on AMI strategy, AMI 2.0, network modernization, DER telemetry, data analytics, and OT/IT convergence.
- Support internal talent development through coaching, training, and knowledge sharing.
What will make you a great fit:
- Twelve or more years of experience in AMI, grid modernization, or utility OT/IT transformation.
- Significant experience serving IOUs with a deep understanding of IOU operating models and regulatory environments.
- Proven track record leading large AMI programs from strategy through deployment and operations.
- Demonstrated success in business development, including leading pursuits and growing major accounts.
- Strong executive presence with the ability to influence senior utility leaders and boards.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and cross-functional leadership.
- Ability to travel to client sites and key events as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with AMI procurement, vendor selection, and contract negotiations.
- Expertise integrating AMI platforms with CIS, MDMS, OMS, GIS, ADMS, and data analytics solutions.
- Familiarity with IOU regulatory filings, rate cases, and cost-recovery frameworks.
- Prior responsibility for P&L or large portfolio management.
- Advanced degree (MBA, MS Engineering, or related field) or equivalent work experience

The budgeted salary for this position is:
$250,000 to $300,000 USD + annual bonus.
Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.
This role will be remote, with up to 50% travel.
