About this role:
We are seeking a proactive and skilled Product Owner to join our Product team. This position plays a crucial role in collaborating with application development and testing teams, internal business stakeholders, and customers to understand user needs and business requirements. The Product Owner will define and maintain a well-organized product backlog for the development team, ensure timely delivery of features, maintain quality throughout the development process, act as a liaison across internal departments, and provide input into sprint and roadmap planning. The Product Owner will have a deeper understanding of agile software development and SaaS practices, playing an important role in the development and implementation of new products.
A few of the things you'll be doing:
- Requirements Definition: Translate customer insights and business requirements into detailed product specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Refinement & Backlog Management: Review user stories with development and test teams at regular refinement sessions to ensure clear understanding of requirements. Maintain a well-refined backlog of business requirements (in the form of user stories and features).
- Sprint Planning: Define and plan development sprints to ensure achievable sprint commitments are defined and the Product team has future sprints defined to provide a buffer for unexpected development capacity or delays.
- Review & Quality Management: Review new features and bug fixes delivered by the development team to ensure solutions meet business and user requirements.
- Release Communication: Compile internal and external release communication information to inform internal stakeholders and users of new features and bug fixes.
- Issue Investigation: Triage and investigate issues reported by internal stakeholders to evaluate impact and severity. Utilize this information to inform sprint planning for the development team to address issues and ensure clear communication to internal stakeholders on timelines and resolution.
- Product Development Collaboration: Engage with engineering, design, and data science teams to support the delivery of high-quality software products, including building and maintaining strong relationships with the development and testing teams, providing timely answers to questions, and assisting with removing blockers affecting the delivery of committed sprint deliverables.
- Agile Development Processes: Support and participate in Agile development methodologies to promote the efficient delivery of features and enhancements.
- Data-Driven Decision-Making: Utilize data and analytics to support informed decisions and continuously optimize product performance.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with marketing, sales, customer support, and other teams to ensure successful product launches, adoption, and support.
- Other tasks as assigned: Perform other tasks as required to ensure successful functioning of team and delivery of products on schedule and budget.
