What You’ll Do:

As the Business Manager – Crop Protection and Fertilizer product Lines, you will:

  • Lead crop protection and fertilizer sales and gross profit initiatives across Griffin’s network.
  • Manage vendor programs, pricing structures, and rebate negotiations to ensure optimal value and profitability.
  • Oversee chemistry and fertilizer inventory control, registration, and compliance coordination.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between Griffin and these suppliers, driving joint product and marketing initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Purchasing, and the GGSPro team to strengthen product positioning and customer engagement.
  • Develop and execute sales and marketing programs, train staff, and track performance results.
  • Represent Griffin at vendor meetings, trade shows, and industry associations such as RISE and Prokoz.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Agribusiness, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5–7 years of progressive experience in business management, product line management, or vendor relations within the horticulture, agriculture, or chemical industries.
  • Proven success in pricing strategy, sales growth, and vendor program management.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% for vendor meetings and field visits.
  • Experience working with major manufacturers (J.R. Peters, ICL, Syngenta, BASF, Valent, etc.) preferred.

The salary for this role will be determined based on various factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. The salary for this position is $75,000.00, and may be adjusted in the future. In addition, this position is eligible for comprehensive benefits, including health, disability, life, dental, vision, and retirement plans.
