Position Overview

As a Sr. Business Analyst at Index, you will work closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to gather, analyze, and translate business needs into clear and actionable requirements. Leveraging your deep understanding of Salesforce architecture, features, and capabilities, you will serve as a bridge between end users and development teams, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and user expectations. This role also requires strong Agile experience as you'll collaborate within and across Scrum teams to support backlog refinement, user story development, and iterative delivery. We're seeking a proactive, detail-oriented professional who can lead discovery efforts, define solutions, and help teams stay focused on delivering value.

Responsibilities

• Identify and validate clients’ business needs and Salesforce application requirements
• Serve as a liaison between business teams and technical teams, ensuring alignment of expectations and deliverables
• Support project managers with managing the client relationship and deliverables
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of business requirements, process flows, and system changes
• Work with stakeholders to define product vision and Salesforce application requirements
• Attend and facilitate requirements gathering meetings with the client to identify business needs, functional and system requirements
• Perform UAT and post-deployment testing to ensure accurate implementation of the needed business, functional and system requirements
• Provide regular and open communication across the program and stakeholders for transparency and awareness of progress and impediments
• Understand, visualize, and manage upstream/downstream dependencies
• Drive delivery and continuous improvement by utilizing feedback and metrics to identify areas of opportunity
• Communicate requirements to developers, testers, and stakeholders
• Demonstrate product functionality to stakeholders
• Track and communicate project metrics and progress, and help manage risks and dependencies.
• Prioritize the features and epics on the program backlog
• Write user stories and prioritize them based on the requirements
• Support effective change management practices
• Create Salesforce training materials and guides
• Ensure Salesforce solutions are aligned with internal policies and compliance standards
• Evaluate and recommend new Salesforce tools or integrations

• US citizen or Authorized to Work and lived in the US for 3 of the last 5 years.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Government public trust clearance
• Bachelor’s degree in business, Computer Science, or a related field
• 8+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Product Owner, IT Project Manager, or in a similar role
• 6+ years of Salesforce experience
• Proficiency in Agile software development methodologies including Scrum and Kanban
• Exceptional analytical skills and an ability to translate business needs into technical requirements.
• Must have agile certifications. SAFe or POPM certification preferred 
• Salesforce certification preferred; specifically Salesforce Business Analyst or Salesforce Administrator.
• Exceptional facilitation, communication, and conflict resolution skills
• Demonstrated ability to break down complex requirements into actionable work items
• Demonstrated ability to work with engineering and analytics teams to discuss technical concepts, make tradeoffs to remove roadblocks, and evaluate new ideas
• Experience with tools like JIRA and Confluence

The salary range provided represents the estimated compensation for new hires in this position, applicable across all locations. Actual offers may vary based on factors such as the candidate's skills, qualifications, experience, and market conditions.
