Position Overview

Index Analytics is seeking a Senior Solutions Architect to support Government clients in the Baltimore and Washington D.C. Metro Area. This role requires a blend of technical depth, business acumen, and leadership skills to architect scalable, secure, and integrate solutions across AWS, Salesforce, and emerging technologies. The ideal candidate will be comfortable engaging with customers, senior leadership, and technical teams to align solutions with business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and validate business needs and requirements. Assist in understanding and refining product vision as program needs evolve
  • Lead architecture and solution design for large-scale programs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals
  • Drive end-to-end application development lifecycle, including data management, microservices, API development, and UI design, following DevSecOps best practices.
  • Design, build, secure, and optimize scalable solutions using cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Salesforce
  • Conduct code and design reviews ensuring quality development, testing and deployment standards
  • Provide technical guidance, technology selection and proof-of-concepts for new and emerging technologies
  • Provide thought leadership and technical guidance to customer stakeholders and senior leadership on adopting artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies for project use cases
  • Mentor project staff on solution architecture, technology, and industry best practices.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects and help prioritize work and manage deployment risks.
  • Participates in Agile Development process.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • US citizen or Authorized to Work and lived in the US for 3 of the last 5 years. Must be able to obtain a U.S. Federal government client badge and pass a government Public Trust.

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or related discipline and minimum 12 years of overall work experience.

  • 8-12 years of hands-on experience designing, building and deploying solutions in AWS with demonstrated ability to lead architecture and integration projects. Full-stack development experience is preferred
  • Integration experience with Salesforce cloud and MuleSoft (or similar) is strongly preferred
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience deploying cloud applications using infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation or Amazon CDK
  • Demonstrate at least two instances of cloud product implementation from a technology proof-of-concept to a product solution to solve a business need
  • Demonstrate at least one instance of an emerging technology (AI/ML preferred) implementation to improve and optimize a software development workflow or a business user workflow and articulate business impact and ROI
  • Able to influence and align customers, senior leadership and project teams on thought leadership, software development standards and effective technology adoption
  • Knowledge and experience of Agile software development methodology using DevSecOps
  • AWS Solutions Architect with Salesforce Integration Architect certifications are a plus
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent written and oral communication required.
  • Previous CMS or Government contracting experience preferred

The salary range provided represents the estimated compensation for new hires in this position, applicable across all locations. Actual offers may vary based on factors such as the candidate's skills, qualifications, experience, and market conditions.
