Requirements:
Essential:
- Must have 6+ years’ experience as a manufacturing or industrial engineer, with at least 3 years in HVAC or coil production strongly preferred.
- Must possess a Bachelor’s in Science in Engineering, or related field, from accredited educational institution. Education beyond the minimum is an added advantage for career development.
- Project management experience as a Manufacturing or Industrial Engineer.
- Proficient with lean manufacturing, 6-Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities:
The following is a list of knowledge, skills, and abilities, necessary for fulfilling job functions as a Manufacturing Engineer IV – Coil Production.
- Strong knowledge of coil manufacturing processes, including brazing, tube expansion, fin stamping, leak testing, and refrigerant system integration.
- CAD proficiency (preferred: AutoCAD, Inventor, or Solid Edge) for tooling and fixture design.
- Familiarity with coil-related quality standards (e.g., AHRI, ASHRAE, UL, ISO).
- Skilled in root cause analysis and problem-solving for coil-specific defects (e.g., tube leaks, braze quality, material handling damage).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Demonstrated ability to apply innovative thinking to improve coil manufacturing efficiency and quality.
Physical requirements and working conditions:
The following is a list of requirements needed to effectively complete the necessary job functions of the Manufacturing Engineer IV.
- Work requires frequent exposure to manufacturing facilities with seasonal hot and cold temperatures, dust, and some chemical fume exposure.
- Ability to stand comfortably for prolonged periods of time, as much as 95% of the workday.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
