General Description: This seasonal position will support the administrative compliance for the Summer Feeding Supplemental Program (SFSP), site participants, and the administration of program resources under the purview of the San Antonio Food Bank (SAFB).

Essential Functions:

  • Assess administrative compliance for all required program documentation including but not limited to site applications, site files, daily meal counts and site reviews.
  • Ensure the site program operates in accordance with SAFB, Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA), United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), and Feeding America requirements.
  • Assists in the training of program sites to ensure program compliance.
  • Conduct monitoring visits to evaluate site’s customer service, food safety, and meal distribution to ensure program compliance in accordance with USDA, TDA, Feeding America and SAFB program regulations.
  • Report unresolved or critical issues to the Director of Mela Programs & Compliance.
  • Provide technical support as necessary.
  • Monitor site progress in adherence to technical support communicated.
  • Ensure sites are aware & accessing all eligible SAFB programs including nutrition education, access to federal assistance programs and eligible distribution programs.
  • Follow program guidelines to ensure accurate and punctual completion of program deliverables.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School Degree and equivalent work experience.
  • Demonstrate exemplary customer service.
  • Orientation to Detail.
  • Experience in Excel, Microsoft, Power Point and Google Docs.
  • Demonstrate good judgement and discretion.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to organize work, time, and self.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with SAFB staff, volunteers, partners, and clients.
  • Ability to present a professional demeanor under a variety of conditions.
  • Schedule flexibility, work weekends as needed.
  • Possession of a current Texas driver's license, insurance, and a clean driving record.
  • Access to reliable transportation.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, walk, sit, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hand and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch; talk, hear and smell. Employee must lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

The work environment is a combination of traveling in, operating a motorized vehicle, and unloading delivery of product outdoors. The noise level in the work environment will vary depending on location but is usually moderate.
