JOB SUMMARY
The Floor Technician reports to the Environmental Services Director and has the responsibility for the maintenance of all floor areas, and for sustaining high standards of cleanliness and sanitation. The Floor Technician will operate floor sweepers, buffers, strippers, and various types of vacuums. The Floor Technician respectfully interacts with all residents, family members, visitors, colleagues, and staff. This is a safety sensitive position.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

- Cleaning offices, hallways, common areas, and other areas as assigned.
- Moves furniture before and after cleaning.
- Cleaning, dusting, mopping, stripping, and waxing floors.
- Measures and utilizes cleaning chemicals correctly.
- Labeling chemicals correctly.
- Cleaning, maintaining and storing equipment.
- Scheduling cleaning and maintenance of floor areas.
- Reporting maintenance issues to supervisor.
- Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this job.
