Job Summary

The IT Systems Analyst will be used to augment and extend the in-house technology support capabilities of AFTD. The IT Systems Analyst will support current support initiatives currently underway at AFTD, as well as those outlined in the strategic plan that have yet to be started. Analyze, design, and troubleshoot AFTD’s information technology systems and processes to enhance efficiency, productivity, and effectiveness. AFTD is currently utilizing a Managed Service Partner (MSP) for routine Helpdesk, Infrastructure, and Security support services, so this role may only secondarily intersect with those functions. The primary responsibility will be technical project work related to our core platforms, re-engineering how we currently deliver information or services, and improving our automation, analytics, and metrics abilities.

 

FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential Job Functions

  • Develop system design by utilizing analysis and solution development methods for input/output requirements, procedural flow between departments, operational audits and organizational structures.
  • Technically execute the efforts to ensure that information systems support the organizational mission and objectives and coordinate the process of defining, investigating, and solving problems related to systems, data governance, metrics, dashboards, and special projects.
  • Be a key technical resource on projects to assist functional owners in evaluating the potential for automating existing or proposed work functions or processes and assess the feasibility of creating or modifying systems to meet user requirements.
  • Analyze new business requirements, system functionality, current system use, and user needs; specify functional designs and work with developers and analysts to implement.
  • Develop and implement standards and policies surrounding IT activity that strengthen data integrity and system security.
  • Implement technology-driven improvements through effective project management; assume project responsibility from inception through implementation.
  • Supports management with project planning, and project tracking to deliver timely IT solutions within budget.

 

Other Job Functions

  • Assist in the management of external vendor or partner relationships.
  • Responsible for technical setup and execution for all virtual events on our digital media platform (Zoom)
  • Ensure ancillary platforms in support of our web technologies, social media programs, communications, grants, and business operations are configured and maintained in optimal support for our organization.
  • Will routinely collaborate with the Lead Salesforce Analyst and Office Manager. Will independently engage directly with other Directors and Managers as project work and needs arise. Enforces good IT security and data management practices among staff.

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • This position is an individual contributor and does not have any supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge, skills, and abilities required for this role:

 

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in informational technology or equivalent experience

Experience:

  • 3-5 years of experience dealing with overall information technology, system maintenance and development.

Special Knowledge/Skills:

  • Excellent ability to investigate, learn, and troubleshoot new technologies.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure and O365 Administration, notably Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, and Exchange. Ability to produce documentation to update or originate SOPs, User Guides, and training materials.
  • Ability to configure and maintain network security tools and software.
  • Extensive experience with enterprise applications and understanding of database-driven applications. Salesforce and Salesforce Marketing Cloud experience a strong plus.
  • Proven problem-solving, analytical thinking, and ability to approach problems logically and systematically.
  • Project management skills as needed.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including bridging functional and technical resources by communicating effectively with individuals of varying technical knowledge and business needs.
  • Strong listening, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • WordPress and Google Analytic experience desirable.
  • IT experience in a healthcare setting is helpful.
  • Familiarity with HIPAA, PCI, and related privacy and security regulations
  • Willingness to adapt and perform other duties as assigned.
