JOB SUMMARY:  This position is primarily responsible for the review and analysis of deposit documentation, file maintenance of accounts/CIF’s, and balancing bank owned accounts.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Thoroughly examine new/revised accounts for accuracy, including Safe Deposit Boxes, notifying FSR’s of any issues that need addressed
  • Make account and CIF changes as needed, including processing revision requests
  • Provide direction/assistance – Answer various questions for FSR’s, other employee’s, sometimes customers, and/or research subject if needed
  • Log, separate, and mail interest checks to customers and banking centers
  • Prepare CD maturity notices for mailing, by printing the appropriate Truth in Savings disclosure
  • Balance bank owned accounts such as cashier’s, interest and expense checks
  • Send CheckMarc FTP file daily, and prepare report monthly for management
  • Place check orders
  • Open new Firstar accounts and maintain changes on existing Firstar accounts as notified by volunteers
  • Account verifications, including those from Social Security Administration
  • Maintain address changes, and process returned mail
  • Assist with mail in requests
  • Clean up errors found on the CIF and account files
  • Firstar - Send letters and signature cards upon turning 18
  • Various month-end reports and duties as assigned
  • Cross-train on other positions in department
  • Back up other Document Analyst, and other positions as needed
  • Other duties as assigned to include assisting with various projects
  • Must be able to meet attendance and punctuality standards
  • Effectively work and cooperate with supervisors, co-workers and customers
  • Follow the direction of supervisor

 

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform other duties and projects as required by management
Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR CONSIDERATION:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Bookkeeping/clerical experience (include filing, letter writing, etc.)
  • Proficient computer, 10 key, and typing skills.
  • Customer service experience

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This work is sedentary and requires the following physical activities:

  • Sitting for long periods of time; occasional bending, squatting, kneeling, stooping; good finger dexterity and feeling; frequent repetitive motions; talking, hearing, and visual acuity
  • Frequent lifting (up to 10 pounds of paper supplies or minor office equipment)
