Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with families in a compassionate and empathetic manner to secure authorization for organ, tissue, and eye donation.
  • Conduct donor risk assessment interviews and evaluate potential donors, ensuring a positive experience for all involved.
  • Collaborate with dynamic teams to design and implement educational and quality assurance programs that uphold the highest standards of service.
  • Provide unwavering support to ensure consistent, top-tier experiences for hospital staff and donor families.
  • Contribute to educational activities, team meetings, case reviews, and impactful donation follow-up initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree preferred or showcase your relevant work experience.
  • Two years of experience, ideally in roles such as a hospital social worker, counselor, RT, or RN.
  • Demonstrated stress tolerance and resilience to navigate emotionally charged situations.
  • Flex your analytical thinking skills to process complex information and make well-informed decisions.
  • Embody empathy, compassion, and professionalism in communicating with families in crisis.
  • Must be able to take call, work nights, weekends and holidays on rotation.
  • Showcase your crisis intervention skills and ability to discern between grief and other life issues.
  • Flex your accuracy, organizational finesse, integrity, and professionalism.
  • Channel your excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint, PowerPoint, and Teams.
  • Hospital Electronic Medical Record experience is the cherry on top!
