JOB SUMMARY:  Responsible for the overall function of the HR Department with specific responsibility for providing information to other HR staff and employees regarding policies and regulations; addressing a variety of issues and/or providing general labor relations support including but not limited to the bank’s policies, procedures, and practices.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Establishes and implements human resource efforts that effectively communicate and support the Bank’s mission and strategic vision.
  • Responsible for the organizations hiring process including the review of applications, testing, performing background checks and interviewing process, also counseling managers on candidate selection, conducting and analyzing interviews and making hiring recommendations.
  • Selects, develops and manages the human resources staff to maximize operational effectiveness.
  • Responsible for coordinating personnel actions, including disciplinary actions and terminations.
  • Assist & train supervisors in the areas of: coaching, rewarding and recognizing employees, disciplining issues, scheduling conferences with employees; hearing and resolving employee grievances; counseling employees and supervisors.
  • Assist management with the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures to include maintaining the employee handbook.
  • Direct and oversee the benefits administration for open enrollment, benefits meetings, changes, team member inquiries, and problem resolution.
  • Direct and maintain ERISA, FMLA, Worker’s Comp and COBRA compliance.
  • Develop and maintain the work structure by updating job requirements and job descriptions for all positions.
  • Manage and oversee all aspects of written communication to employees.
  • Direct and maintain Affirmative Action Plan including tracking, compliance, and reporting data as required.
  • Ensure legal and regulatory compliance by monitoring, reporting and implementing applicable federal and state requirements; EEO-1, Vets 100, Affirmative Action, conducting investigations; maintaining records; representing the organization at hearings.
  • Responsible for the equitable and fair treatment of all bank employees.
  • Manage the human resource portion of the bank’s disaster recovery process.
  • Must be able to meet attendance and punctuality standards.
  • Effectively cooperate with supervisors, co-workers and customers.
  • Direct and oversee the organizations mentor program, intranet, etc.
  • Follow the directions of the supervisor.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform other duties and projects as required by management.
Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR CONSIDERATION:

  • Bachelor Degree in Human Resources, Management or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience required.
  • Proficient computer, 10-key, and typing skills including experience with Windows, MS Office, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This work is sedentary and requires the following physical activities:

  • Sitting for long periods of time; occasional bending, squatting, kneeling, stooping; good finger dexterity and feeling; frequent repetitive motions; talking, hearing, and visual acuity.
  • Frequent lifting (up to 25 pounds of paper supplies or minor office equipment).
  • Driving to client locations and other sites as needed.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Normal office environment. 
  • Traveling to other locations as needed.
