Position Summary:
Floater position for purposes of backing up all Insurance Operations areas of the company.
Reporting Relationship:
Reports directly to the Insurance Operations Support Assistant Manager and may also take direction from the Insurance Operations Support Manager
Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
- Works in a cooperative manner with management, coworkers, customers, and vendors; seeks to support LAMMICO’s mission and vision in daily operations
- Meets assigned target dates and objectives; helps ensure that department quality, service, and productivity standards are met
- Acts as liaison with other departments
- Works independently and within a team on special non-recurring and ongoing projects
- Works to assist in all departments that the Insurance Operations Support Manager deems necessary
- Backup to Switchboard/Receptionist – fills in as backup for any time period when the Receptionist is not available to cover the phones, i.e. vacations and sick or out for appointments; also fills in when a member of the weekly rotation team is unavailable for breaks and lunch
- Assists the Policyholder Support Representative with all credentialing requests for the Underwriting Department
- Assists in responding to inquiries by providing certificates of insurance and claims histories in accordance with department standards and in compliance with HIPPA procedures and regulations
- Assists the Policy Support Representative with License and FACIS verification on new business prospects and License verification on renewal applications
- Backup to the Document Imaging and Production Printing Specialist assisting in the opening, sorting, preparing, scanning, and indexing of incoming mail and faxes into the core imaging system, ImageRight; follows simple to complex workflows for different departments requiring significant knowledge of Claim and Underwriting file systems and workflows
- Back up to the Document Imaging and Production Printing Specialist by operating printing, copy, binding, cutting, folding, and other production equipment as needed and verifies completed projects meet quality standards
- Backup to the Document Imaging and Production Printing Specialist for the pickup and distribution of mail, stamping of mail and bringing mail to the Galleria mail room
- Responsible for documentation of mailroom processes and submission of written documentation to the Underwriting Administrative Assistant/Associate Analyst to include in the Mailroom Confluence Manual
- Assists in the timely completion of assigned departmental projects
- Responsible for scanning of required documentation for the PCF at the end of day
- Assists Administrative Assistants in Underwriting, Claims and Marketing when necessary including but not limited to the gathering, folding, stuffing, and mailing certified mail
