Caribou Medical Center is currently in search of a talented individual to join our team onsite in Soda Springs, Idaho as the Director of Business Development and Marketing. We are seeking someone who is passionate about fostering and nurturing relationships, driving growth, and effectively communicating the incredible work and exceptional individuals at Caribou Medical Center.

Tucked away in a vast mountain range, alongside a beautiful reservoir, Caribou Medical Center in Soda Springs, Idaho is a rural community located in the southeastern corner of Idaho. It is a beautiful 45-minute drive to the larger city areas of Pocatello, Idaho and Logan, Utah. The area that provides breathtaking views and numerous outdoor recreational opportunities. Many people enjoy hunting, fishing, camping, hiking, kayaking, snow machining, ATV rides, and boating.

What you will do
Responsible for the strategic and business development of Caribou Medical Center. Will direct and manage strategic projects, fostering growth, and maintaining key relationships with physicians and partners. Planning, developing, implementing, and maintaining a strong marketing program to provide for the short term and long term needs of the organization. Lead business expansion efforts. Responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities, forging strategic partnerships, and driving revenue growth. Works closely with executive team to shape the company’s growth strategy and ensure tis successful execution.

  1. Business and Strategic Planning and Development
    • Assist the CEO with administrative duties and strategic and business development
    • Direct and manage strategic projects to improve patient flow, satisfaction, practice volume, and service utilization.
    • Identify growth areas and partners in strategic plan development and execution; analyze outcomes for continuous improvement.
    • Proactively identify opportunities to increase market share
    • Facilitate resource utilization optimization through service line development and performance improvement activities.
    • Identifies, recommends, implements, and develops growth for the hospital through new initiatives and expansion of existing programs and services
    • Evaluates new and or expanded business initiatives and programs for community need, strategic fit, and financial feasibility
  2. Building and Maintaining Relationships
    • Physician/Provider Relationships
      • Support operations management in relationships with physicians across various settings
      • Manage relationships with all market physicians to achieve targets and develop growth opportunities.
      • Conduct regular meetings with physicians to discuss market strategy, referral development, and performance metrics.
      • Fostering networking opportunities and enhance physician-to-physician relationships for better continuity for care and strategic alignment.
      • Improve referral management and affiliate provider relations.
    • Overall Relationship Building
      • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and industry influencers
      • Partnership and alliances by identifying and negotiate strategic partnerships, alliances, and joint ventures to expand the company’s outreach and capabilities
      • Oversee relationships with partners in the community support of new business development projects.
  3. Physician/Provider Recruitment
    • Oversee physician recruitment and contracting in collaboration of the Chief Operating Officer
    • Lead physician site visits and oversee onboarding and clinic ramp-up for new physicians.
    • Work with surrounding hospital systems to secure community needs funding and financial opportunities.
  4. Community Engagement and Business-to-Business Development
    • Develop and implement community outreach programs, aligning with local businesses for health education, wellness initiates, and corporate health fairs.
    • Establish and maintain relationships with key community organizations and local businesses to foster a collaborative approach to community health and wellness.
    • Represent the medical center at local business events, advocating for health and wellness partnerships that benefit both the community and local businesses
    • Spearhead corporate health programs, working closely with businesses to create tailored health solutions of their employees, including preventive screenings and wellness seminars.
    • Manage and expand business-to-business relationships, ensuring that the medical center is the preferred provider for occupational health services and executive health programs.
  5. Marketing
    • Coordinates with COO regarding the development and execution of marketing plan(s)
    • Create, implement, and maintain marketing plans or strategies that effectively communicate organizational mission, goals, and business initiatives.
    • Create, implement, and maintain marketing across a variety of mediums
    • Effectively utilized social media to communicates organizational branding
    • Analyze data from marketing initiatives to determine the effectiveness of the marketing plan and budgeting.
  6. Reporting and Analytics
    • Executes development of plans and effectively passes initiatives and programs to operations
    • Tracks and reports success to approved business development initiatives.
  7. Other Duties
    • Works with the CEO to determine the mission, purpose, and priorities of the organization.
    • Sets annual monetary goals and budgets according to short and long term goals
    • Establishes fundraising objectives for the organization, setting one year, five year, and longer term goals.
    • Maintains a list of potential financial donors including corporations, foundations, and individuals.
    • Produces relevant and informative fundraising literature for distribution to previous donors and the public.
    • Researches potential sources of, and applies for, grants and public funding.
    • Oversees the fundraising process and maintains records of receipts and disbursements of funds
    • Plans fundraising events that effectively communicate the purpose of the organization
    • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

You will need to have

Required:

  • Education and Experience
    • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Marketing, or similar field
    • Proven track record of at least 2 years of business development, marketing, or a related role, with a demonstrated ability to drive growth.
  • Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
    • Thorough knowledge and skill of social media marketing
    • Knowledge of healthcare industry standards, regulations, and challenges.
    • Excellent communication skills both written, verbal, and presentation
    • Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills
    • Ability to lead strategic planning and business development initiatives
    • Strong project management skills and ability to analyze performance metrics for continuous improvement.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
    • Strategic thinker with the ability to identify and capitalize on marketing opportunities
    • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities

  • Education and Experience
    • Seven years of experience in fundraising for a non-profit organization, highly preferred
    • Masters of Business Administration, highly preferred
    • Experience in a healthcare setting
