What You Will Do:

The Director of Creative and Communications provides strategic leadership for NatureBridges internal and external communications, marketing and brand. This position creates and oversees execution of an integrated annual communication plan for the organization including donor communications strategy. This position also leads all aspects of creative work.

This position is fully remote for a candidate living near one of our established campuses in the Seattle or San Francisco Bay Area.

Your primary job will be to:

  • Develop, lead, and evaluate an integrated marketing and communications plan for the organization.

  • With support from the Communications Associate, draft and implement all communications plans and activities and ensure communications are integrated across media, email, social, media and web properties.

  • Advise CEO and Senior Leadership Team on internal and external communications, crisis communications, and brand.

  • Build and refine the NatureBridge marketing strategy in collaboration with the National Director of Sales.

  • Oversee and lead NatureBridge brand management. Develops, implements and maintains best practices and processes. Leads continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Write, edit and/or project manage content creation in digital, print and video platforms including website, digital campaigns, social media, board materials, campaign case statements, leadership PowerPoints and speeches. Ensures these separate content pieces coalesce into a single, branded, strategic narrative, adhering to NatureBridges vision and strategic framework.

  • Conceive, draft and supervise design and production for collateral including annual reports, newsletters, brochures, etc. to promote a better understanding of NatureBridges mission, programs and goals.

  • Build relationships with senior leadership and regional staff to develop a clear understanding of program activities and optimize communication strategies.

  • Track, manage, and report on departmental budget and spending.

  • Supervise Communications Manager and establish efficient team processes, drive communications best practices and proactively identify and develop improvements to team operations.

  • Creates and leads staff training and information sharing to improve communications efforts and further the professional development of the team.


  • $78-82,000 annual salary

Who You Are:

We are looking for candidates who have:

  • Proven ability to lead a diverse creative team of designers, photographers, copywriters, editors and videographers.

  • Demonstrated track record for understanding how Creative drives business performance.

  • Skills with the Adobe SuitePhotoshop, InDesign, Illustrator.

  • Keen eye for articulating messages and pairing them with compelling images.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues from different departments, primarily using remote tools.

  • Commitment to NatureBridge's mission.

  • Understanding of key NatureBridge priorities and programs.

  • Ability to articulate messages that will resonate with our philanthropic and sales prospects.

  • Efficiency and a high attention to detail.

  • Ability to manage competing or shifting priorities.

  • Proficiency with Raiser's Edge and with Google and Microsoft Office applications.
