Job Purpose

Reporting to the Director of Marketing & Communications, the Digital Marketing Manager drives community engagement through AFTD’s Salesforce Marketing Cloud platform, leads AFTD’s digital ad strategy, and uses analytics to optimize campaigns.

 

Job Summary

Working in close collaboration with staff, the Digital Marketing Manager leads AFTD’s work to drive community engagement through Salesforce Marketing Cloud. The Digital Marketing Manager will lead the planning and development of journeys, and proactively analyze metrics to maximize AFTD’s impact and engagement. The Digital Marketing Manager will also play a leading role in SEM/digital ads as well as SEO. They will use analytics to optimize marketing campaigns based on monthly, quarterly, and annual results.

 

FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential Job Functions

 

  • Analysis and Reporting: Use analytics, with a continuous test, learn, and improve mindset, to proactively build reports by presenting data in a way that generates actionable insights. Make appropriate recommendations for AFTD’s digital marketing plan and make ongoing tactical platform changes based on client activity/journey experience.
  • Managing Marketing Cloud Strategy: Help develop and manage AFTD’s marketing strategies to target people impacted by FTD in the United States, as well as a growing global audience. Responsible for effectively engaging all segments of our audience, including FTD-unaware members of the public, families facing a new diagnosis, and established donors and volunteers. They will work with the Social Media Coordinator to ensure alignment of web and social media content. While Marketing Cloud experience is preferred, proficiency in another emailing platform that supports journeys, like MailChimp or Pardot, is acceptable.
  • Managing Digital Advertising: Collaborate with staff to design Google, Facebook, and Instagram ad campaigns and help identify requirements for assets. Responsible for implementing, monitoring, and using analytics to maximize ROI of ad campaigns.
  • FormAssembly Forms: Work with staff to create or modify forms as needed to maximize data collection for Salesforce fields.

  • This position is an individual contributor and does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required; relevant advanced degree is a plus

 

Licensure/Credentials:

  • Relevant technical certifications (Google Analytics, Google Ads, Facebook and/or equivalents) will be considered

 

Experience:

  • 3+ years of progressive digital marketing experience is required. Marketing Cloud experience is preferred, proficiency in another emailing platform that supports journeys, like MailChimp or Pardot, is acceptable.
  • Excellent verbal communication and writing skills
  • Demonstrated effective collaboration with organizational leadership to advance an organization’s success.

 

Special Knowledge/Skills:

  • Proficiency in Salesforce, Salesforce Marketing Cloud or of journey-based email platform, Google Analytics, and FormAssembly.
  • Demonstrated experience planning digital campaigns, with campaigns focused on healthcare consumers a plus
  • Demonstrated awareness of and/or experience with outreach to diverse populations.
  • Demonstrated experience shaping and fulfilling marketing plans
  • Demonstrated expertise using digital analytics to plan and drive marketing strategies
  • Excellent organizational skills and time management; the ability to manage several concurrent projects with a results-oriented attitude
  • Ability to approach work with a professional, warm manner; to be a flexible team player and exhibit a willingness to take on new challenges
  • Fluency in spoken and written English
