Description

Essential Duties:

  • Communication and interaction with property management teams.
  • Monitor properties cash position regularly.
  • Complete daily and monthly cash reconciliations.
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts monthly.
  • Work with Property & Regional Managers to develop budget variance explanations.
  • Create and post adjusting journal entries.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statement packages which include in-depth review of general ledger, and balance sheet & income statement accounts.
  • Ensure internal and external reporting deadlines are met.
  • Help develop and update Accounting Policies and Procedures
  • Maintain accurate records and files.
  • Complete other duties and special projects as assigned.

 

Qualifications

Education & Experience: 

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
  • 2+ years of property accounting experience (multi-family property industry preferred)
  • Knowledge of Entrata or other property management software/systems preferred

 

Licenses & Certifications: 

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification or working towards certification.
