Job/Skills/Experience Preferred:
- Familiarity, understanding, and experience with facets of design, installation, startup, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of process equipment and systems common to industrial and manufacturing facilities.
- Expertise and knowledge working with pumps, chains, hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, gear reducers, couplings, belt-drives, bearings, seals, etc.
- Knowledge of stock key parts, lubrication, calibration, tensioning, welding, fitting, rigging, or equivalent.
- Ability to analyze, troubleshoot, take measurement, compile, and interpret data across a wide array of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems and equipment (temperature, vibrations, speeds, etc.).
- Ability to take ownership of a project; to design and implement novel initiatives pertaining to industrial maintenance and to maximize results in a safe and timely manner.
- Determine work procedures to assemble, dismantle and overhaul machinery and equipment using hand and power tools.
- Ability to investigate equipment issues and failure modes as a team and to identify corrective actions.
- Ability to implement and enforce all safety policies and procedures to comply with regulatory requirements.
- Ability to analyze and understand technical and engineering drawings, schematics, prints, bills of materials, part identification, workflow processes, and component specification sheets.
- Work with a wide variety of precision tools such as vernier calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, levels, gauge blocks and optical and laser alignment tooling.
- Ability to prioritize and self-direct decision-making.
Physical Requirements:
- Be on your feet for 8-12 hours.
- Able to lift 40 pounds unassisted.
- Able to reach, bend, kneel and climb while performing repetitive tasks.
- Ability to work in hot and cold environments.
- Able to correctly wear PPE for entire shifts.
- Able to react and respond quickly to noises, smells, visual hazards, and alerts.
