SUMMARY:

Seasonal Operations team members are responsible for creating the best experience possible for our guests. The ideal candidate is passionate about the Ark Encounter and serving others, enthusiastic, energetic, an excellent multi-tasker, and able and willing to fill or change positions quickly. This position should display our Core Values of SERVE when interfacing with both internal and external customers to ensure that the message and mission of Answers in Genesis is portrayed in an effective and God honoring fashion. 

REQUIREMENTS: 

All Ark Encounter employees must be able to move and stand for long periods of time, meet lifting requirements (25-75 pounds), perform duties in varied weather conditions (e.g., extreme heat/cold, rain), are subject to a background check, confirm agreement with the Answers in Genesis’ Statement of Faith, and adhere to our drug-free workplace policy.

Qualifications

JOB TITLE: Seasonal – A-Team  

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Provide exceptional service to all guests by creating a best-in-class experience. 

  • Assist with guest flow throughout the attraction. 

  • Serve all departments by attending to their daily operational needs. 

  • Actively monitor and maintain a safe environment for guests and staff. 

  • All other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management. 

REQUIREMENTS  

  • Customer service skills: friendly and courteous with guests 

  • Strong oral communication skills, comfortable giving direction to guests 

  • Good problem-solving skills and decision-making ability 

  • Basic math skills: Accuracy in cash and financial transactions with guests 

 

JOB TITLE: Seasonal – Admissions  

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Provide excellent service to all guests at attraction entry/exit points, bus loading areas and parking lot. 

  • Assist guests with admission ticket purchases in a quick and efficient manner.  

  • Proactively engage guests to assertively direct and maintain traffic flow. 

  • All other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management. 

REQUIREMENTS  

  • Customer service skills: friendly and courteous with guests 

  • Strong oral communication skills, comfortable giving direction to guests 

  • Basic math skills: Accuracy in cash and financial transactions with guests 

 

JOB TITLE: Seasonal – Culinary Services  

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Provide excellent service to all guests by creating an exceptional dining experience. 

  • Prepare, cook and present food in accordance with recipe and safety standards. 

  • Assist guests with food purchases in a quick and efficient manner.  

  • Maintain cleanliness of the dining room, wash and sanitize dishes. 

  • All other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management. 

REQUIREMENTS  

  • Customer service skills: friendly and courteous with guests  

  • Attention to details: eyes on food standards, costs, safety.  

  • Basic Math skills: Accuracy in cash and financial transactions with guests 

  • Wear proper slip-resistant footwear, aprons, hats/hair nets and personal protective equipment when operating sharp and hot equipment. 

 

JOB TITLE: Seasonal – Guest Services 

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Provide excellent service to all guests by greeting, directing, and answering questions relative to park and event information. 

  • Proactively engage guests to direct and maintain traffic flow. 

  • Assist guests with rental purchases of scooters, wheelchairs, and strollers in a quick and efficient manner.  

  • All other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management. 

REQUIREMENTS  

  • Customer service skills: friendly and courteous with guests 

  • Strong oral communication skills, comfortable giving direction to guests 

  • Basic Math skills: Accuracy in cash and financial transactions with guests 

 

JOB TITLE: Seasonal – Housekeeping  

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Ensure the day-to-day cleanliness of the attractions and grounds. 

  • Remove and dispose of trash/recyclables and clean bins.  

  • Clean floors, windows, doors, walls and restrooms 

  • Perform responsibilities with a safety-first mindset. 

  • All other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management. 

REQUIREMENTS  

  • Customer service skills: friendly and courteous with guests  

  • Attention to details: eyes on guests’ service standards, costs, and safety. 

  • Organizational skills: rotation of date sensitive inventory and cleaning  

 

JOB TITLE: Seasonal – Retail  

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Provide excellent service to all guests in an engaging retail shopping environment. 

  • Proactively greet and assist guests on the sales floor.  

  • Assist guests with retail purchases in an efficient and friendly manner. 

  • Responsible for accurate pricing, re-stocking and maintaining cleanliness of the store. 

  • All other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.

  • Organizational skills: rotation of date sensitive inventory and cleaning

JOB TITLE: Seasonal – Technical Operations (Rides)  

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Provide excellent service to all guests creating a best-in-class ride experience. 

  • Proactively engage guests and provide directions at the Truth Traveler VR experience, Camels Rides, Fossil Find and the Carousel. 

  • Ensure safety of all guests through understanding and adherence of all safety protocols 

  • All other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
