Position Summary

Create work tickets that show the specifications of how to manufacture a product according to the customer’s order. These tickets are printed and sent to the production floor for completion.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
•    Responsible for completing work order tickets for all locations.
•    Review the order entry and make necessary updates to the sku if products have been changed. 
•    Review purchase order and quote to confirm that all of the quoted information is correct: fabrics, widths, and other order information. Report any information that may need to be repriced or additional yardage requirements to the Quoting and Purchasing departments. 
•    Use write-up sheet to help assist in preparing tickets for manufacturing. Specs must be confirmed per brand specification before completing the work order.
•    Create work order to manufacture the product on the purchase order.
•    Label room numbers or any other special notes that are indicated on the order.
•    Print, assemble, and review all work tickets before going to production and make adjustments or corrects as needed to avoid reworks.
•    Back-up for order entry as needed by pulling orders from Order Entry task list box.  

 

Qualifications

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE    

  • One to two years of relevant order entry experience in manufacturing operations. 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE    

  • Four years of relevant order entry experience in manufacturing operations. 

MINIMUM EDUCATION  

  •  High School Diploma

PREFERRED EDUCATION  

  •  Associate’s Degree

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Excellent knowledge of functional area(s) related to the job.
  • Working knowledge of computers and software programs such as MS Office or other programs specific to the job.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills to communicate effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to manage deadlines and prioritize workload and make adjustment to meet business needs.
