Job Description

We are seeking a talented Video Film Editor to join our creative team and assist with various media projects. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong technical skills, and a passion for visual storytelling.

Qualifications

  • Collaborate with directors, producers, and other team members to understand project requirements and objectives and deliver on time and within budget

  • Edit raw footage into polished, compelling videos that align with project goals and creative vision

  • Be familiar with exporting for traditional and non traditional aspect ratios

  • Organize and manage media assets, ensuring efficient workflow and project organization

  • Implement visual effects, transitions, and other creative elements to enhance the overall quality of the content

  • Ensure consistency in style, tone, and branding across all projects

  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to continually improve editing techniques and workflows

  • Handle multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines without compromising quality

 

Requirements

  • At least five years of related professional experience

  • Strong portfolio showcasing previous work in a professional setting

  • Proficiency in editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro required, DaVinci resolve a plus

  • Awareness but not mastery of editorial pipelines within the Adobe Suite

  • Knowledge of integrated workflows/handoffs with AE

  • Solid understanding of color grading, audio mixing, and other post-production processes

  • Extremely organized and able to manage multiple projects at a time

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently under pressure

  • Bachelor’s degree in film studies, media production, or a related field (preferred)

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

  • Documentary experience a plus
