The Server Support is responsible for communicating with guests and supporting both servers and kitchen staff. Often underestimated, a Server Support can make up for a server's shortfalls and make the difference between a great experience and a good one. The Server Support is also the employee who performs all the small tasks necessary to provide a high-quality customer experience.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Clearing dirty plates, silverware, glassware and cleaning tables and floor after guest leaves.
- Keep up cleanliness levels for all guest areas including restaurant bathrooms.
- Food and beverage delivery to fulfil room service orders and putting to-go orders together and ensuring they are picked up by the correct individual.
- Getting food to the proper table in a timely manner.
- Responding to and fulfilling guests' needs in a calm and friendly manner during high stress times.
- Communicating all guest comments/complaints to manager on duty.
- Ensuring all tables have water glasses filled.
- Make beverages when ordered and on request.
- Complete all side work including but not limited to polishing glassware, silverware and roll-ups.
- Running the expo line to ensure food quality out of the kitchen, plating trays efficiently and communicating with team members to run food in a timely manner.
- Ensuring and maintaining the expo line is clean and organized during service hours, assisting the Expo Lead in plating trays and completing food orders as necessary.
