SUMMARY

Gann Academy seeks a mission-driven team member to join our Admissions Office. The Senior Admissions Officer is responsible for Gan Academy’s admissions efforts, from initial prospecting through enrollment. This individual serves as the primary contact for a portfolio of prospective students, guiding them through every stage of the admissions process. The role includes significant contributions to external recruitment and internal strategy, particularly in developing partnerships and outreach programs that enhance the school's profile and attract a broad array of prospective students.

Admissions

  • Admissions Management: Oversee and actively participate in all Admissions and Outreach activities, including community and synagogue events, family tours, student and parent interviews, admissions decisions, and onboarding new students
  • Community Engagement: Develop and maintain strong, mutually beneficial relationships with feeder schools, local camps, and other community organizations. Represent Gann Academy at various community and educational events
  • Strategic Recruitment: Collaborate on and implement strategies to expand the applicant pool, focusing on diverse backgrounds and experiences. Collect and analyze data to inform and refine recruitment tactics
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with other departments such as Development, Marketing, and Teaching and Learning to align strategies and share resources that support the school's's overall objectives
  • Advisory Role: Serve as an advisor to 10-12th grade students, providing guidance and support as needed
  • Participate in the Gann community and attend Community Outreach, Alumni, Development, and other school events

Qualifications

COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS

  • 3+ years of relevant professional experience
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially with Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience with Blackbaud or similar platforms preferred
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Superior interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and work effectively within a team-oriented environment
  • Availability for evening and weekend commitments as required

LANGUAGE SKILLS

  • Proficiency in English is necessary to carry out work as assigned

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Physical demands include dexterity in operating office machines and supplies, includingbut not limited tocomputers, telephones, electronic calculators, copy machines, and printers. Stooping, bending, reaching for files or supplies, and sitting or standing for extended periods are common.
