Summary of Position

The NC State Campus Director is responsible for everything that occurs at NC State Summit College. He or she leads the staff team, oversees the student leadership teams, and organizes all major events and discipleship initiatives. They are responsible for carrying out the mission, vision and values of the Summit Church and Summit College at NC State.

  • Empower others to lead and use their gifts
  • Communicate in a clear and compelling way
  • Bachelor's degree
  • A member of the Summit Church or willing and able to become a member

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  1. Cast and Maintain the Vision of Summit College at Your Campus
    • Implement the vision of Summit College on your campus
    • Implement and monitor the Core Values of Summit College into your staff team
    • Model the Core Values of Summit College to your campus and students
  2. Lead the staff team at your campus to faithfulness in their role and relational, emotional, and spiritual health
    • Weekly staff meeting bringing encouragement and clarity to the staff team
    • Oversee staff health through time of confession and encouragement in gender specific groups (outside of weekly staff meeting)
    • Consistently checking in with staff to see how they are doing and asking good questions
    • Giving roles for events that help both develop staff and use their gifts for the sake of the movement
    • Giving feedback to staff both formally (1x a semester) and informally as they lead
    • If conflict or staff issues step in help to find a solution
    • Plan 2 “fun” staff hangouts during the semester
  3. Build or maintain healthy staff team culture
    • Be quick to step in and deal with things that are off or affecting the team (bad attitudes, always late, distracted during meetings, unprofessional)
    • Be quick to encourage, slow to complain
    • Celebrate often and publicly acknowledge staff doing well!
    • Have fun together
    • Be mindful of what your team culture needs (fun, discipline, passion, etc.) and make adjustments to make it happen (add fun team time, set aside time to pray, etc.)
  4. Lead and Shepherd the entire movement (student leaders and students) to make disciples
    • Cast vision and oversee the monthly student leader gatherings
    • Be proactive in planning/thinking for meetings/events/rhythms!
    • Shepherd and make decisions for what is best for the movement as a whole
    • Think for men’s/women’s movement
    • Make sure each student leader is being discipled
    • Spending time with student leaders on campus 
    • If the mission is not being accomplished on campus, your role will be to either step in or coach someone to help implement change
